Bordeaux Varietals from Around the World

Bordeaux is the most famous wine region in the world.  It's no coincidence that the red wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and to a lesser extent, Cabernet Franc.  It's also no coincidence that the vast majority of wine regions of the world use these red varietals, along with white wine varieties, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, to make wines of their own.

Nuevo Latino Wine Tasting

The wines of  Latin-influenced countries--Spain, Chile, Argentina--have more than one thing in common, but one thing stands out:  they have wonderfully full-bodied, fruit-driven red wines and crisp, elegant white wines.  And many represent outstanding price, quality and value.  You be the judge!

Best of the West Wine Tasting
Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. in Elmhurst
This is Sal's no hold barred display of many of the best wines from California, Oregon and Washington.  Full-bodied Cabernets and Merlots, elegant Pinot Noirs of finesse, rich buttery Chardonnays and crisp minerally Sauvignon Blancs as well as many more unusual varieties will be presented for your tasting pleasure.

Annual Father's Day Beer Tasting
Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. in Elmhurst
Warm summer weather and Father's Day.  That can only mean one thing at Sal's Beverage World:  our Annual Father's Day beer tasting.  This one promises to have an array of smacking crisp pilsners and lagers to quench the thirst as well as a variety of ales, stouts and porters to intrigue the palate.  Join us for an afternoon of fun and festivities.
