Memorable Cognacs, Brandies, and Armagnacs
"Created at the beginning of the 20th century to celebrate the relationships between the Courvoisier family and those of Napoleon the first and the third. Courvoisier Napoleon has become the benchmark against which other cognacs are measured and it is classically traditional." - Courvoisier
"A subtle harmony of old port, prune, and orange blossom. This voluptuous 'Fine Champagne' lingers in the mouth with great depth and length on the palate." - Jean-Marc Olivier, Master Blender
Hine Cigar Reserve
"Brown in colour, with glints of amber and shades of caramel and coffee. A bright colour with a good concentration in the glass.
"On the nose, a warm and pleasant brandy with a beautiful complexity of aromas - notes of citrus jammy fruits, stewed white fruits, soft spices, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper. On aeration, we are offered notes of old leather, cedar wood, prunes and dried mushrooms. The attack is soft and supple but gradually gains power with its dominating flavours of jammy fruits. Despite its assemblage being the same as a more classic brandy, this is still a lively, distinctive cognac with plenty of character." - Jean Michel Deluc, Master Sommelier
Martell Cordon Bleu
Since its creation by Edouard Martellin 1912, Cordon Bleu has become a genuine legend. Its taste, marked predominantly by 'Eaux-de-Vie' from the Borderies area, and its authentic bottle, unchanged since the beginning, make it a classic among great cognacs. A cognac with a unique character combining body and great balance. The cognac for discerning connoisseurs.
"Bouquet is semisweet and prune-like; several minutes of aeration unleashes much deeper scents of honeydew melon, cantaloupe, roasted almonds and apple butter. The palate entry is full bodied, generous and sweet; at midpalate, the flavor profile turns satiny as scintillating tastes of black cherry, black coffee and Macadamia nut blanket the tongue. Aftertaste is extended, smoky and luscious." - Wine Enthusiast, 90-95 points
"Simply the finest XO that exists — smoother, more balanced, more complex than XO cognacs, with a subtle and distinctive Californian fragrance & flavor of deep, rich fruit. This is the brandy we set out to make when we founded Germain-Robin. The high proportion of brandies distilled from Pinot Noir lends elegance, fullness, and a smooth, lingering finish. There is none of the over-oaked deadness on your palate, none of the alcoholic roughness in your throat, that detract from aged European spirits. No other grape spirit is made this way." - Germain-Robin
An outstanding Cognac, remaining loyal to the creative and inspired spirit of his founder, is remarkable as much for the nobility of its blending as for the stunning beauty of its presentation. Taste the subtle balance between the power of the Grande Champagne and the mellow elegance of the Borderies.
Color: A deep gold, coppery tint, enriched with mahogany sheens.
Nose: First marked by dried fruits, bees wax and Russian leather. Then, it increases in complexity, with a wide range of sweet fruits and dried flowers and finally hints of spices and oriental notes: mace, santal wood...
Taste: Round and fruity on the tongue initially, then come the finesse and the power of the Grande champagne Eaux-de-Vie. A long and silky final note, which leaves a feeling of sophistication and elegance in the mouth.
Cognac Pierre Ferrand Sélection des Anges
This fully mature cognac is named after the evaporation in cognac called the "Angel's Share". It has a lingering finish and rich, mellow flavor, with hints of vanilla and licorice. Old gold in color, it unveils thick, rich, musky, spicy flavors.
A truly outstanding Grande Champagne Cognac! It has a very deep mahogany color. The aromas are rich with oaky vanilla and chocolate with a hint of curry, then jasmine tea, honeysuckle, and walnut appear. The bouquet continues to develop with candied fruit aromas and spicy saffron, ginger, and honey, mixed with nutmeg and cedar wood.
Pierre Ferrand Sélection des Anges is sheer velvet on the palate. The flavours are rich and concentrated, with superb balance. The aftertaste persists for up to 12 minutes." - Pierre Ferrand Cognac
Rémy Martin Cognac XO
Rémy Martin XO, the Best of XO, stands out for its texture, complexity and richness, with more smoothness and perfect balance. This superb cognac is for those who demand and enjoy the best in life. This Fine Champagne Cognac has been blended with a symphony of more than 300 Eaux-de-Vie which are from 10 to 37 years old thereby leading to a myriad of aromas, a unique velvet texture and a longer finish.
"Created with a unique blend of very old cognacs resulting in a supremely rich product. With its harmonious yet complex character, Courvoisier XO Imperial is a perfect balance of intense flavours." - Courvoisier
"Courvoisier XO is intensely aromatic and flavourful with a velvet texture and redolent bouquet with hints of orange, apricot and pear. It is very rich and complex with aromas of chocolate, vanilla and amber, and the old Borderies add exotic and bakery spices. The finish is very long and mellow with great depth and long development." - Jean-Marc Olivier, Master Blender
Hennessy XO, the first extra Old cognac, is powerful, masculine and generous - a genuine pleasure. It releases woody, spicy aromas. Now an established symbol of luxury, its rich character is enhanced by a distinctive decanter designed in 1947.
Cognac Frapin XO
This Frapin XO, reserved for VIP, combines age, roundness, bouquet and finesse. Amber old gold; very rich bouquet with scents of spices and floral aromas specific to very old grande champagne distilled with lees. Enriched with much older Eaux-de-Vie, family reserve, this is an exceptional cognac.
