The first in our Brew Crew Big Beer Series, Hopmouth pours deep amber with a generous white head that should leave plenty of lace behind thanks to the ultra-premium Maris Otter malted barley from England. The aroma is a mix of malt, fruit, and HUGE hops. Hop character is piney with the allure of citrus-grapefruit and oranges. The taste is very well balanced for a Double IPA, with a sweet toasted malt flavor up front followed by a hop rush that lingers ever so nicely.
